Rounded Up I Loved Tom
up I loved Tom s books in the 90 s Valentine and Scavenger were awesome He didn t ublish anything for years and then returned a few years ago with this Nora Baron series I icked up the first one and thought it was okay but didn t have any desire to carry on with the series I reuested this one because I saw that it was taking lace in the Caribbean specifically Martiniue which I have been actively researching for a trip I thought his descriptions of place in the Caribbean specifically Martiniue which I have been actively researching for a trip I thought his descriptions of islands were great and you can tell he has spent time in these laces and that authenticity adds to my enjoyment of the book As for the story it was just okay for me nora is was just okay for me Nora is actress and her husband Jeff is in the CIA They are needed on a cruise ship to follow a rich French business man who is suspected of moving a lot of money offshore because they suspect he will be meeting with an associate and this will help them understand where he is moving the money It all started out retty well but even though it was a short book and a Angels in Harmony pretty uick read for some reason it started to drag for me toward the end when they were on the small island off of Martiniue Also I thought they had an awful lot of good luck at the end and it didn t seem that realistic to me Thisrobably would have been a 3 if not for the Martiniue setting It is a treat to read a mystery set in the Caribbean since there are so few out there I may Sketchy Behavior pick up therevious Nora Baron novel where she has a job in Venice because at least I know I will enjoy the scenery Thanks to Netgalley and Random House for Autumn Brides providing an ARC in exchange for an honest reviewThis is a fun thriller and fast read Nora and her husband sometimes work for the CIA This assignment takes the couple to the Carribean It starts out as an easy job They are to find a man and his wife and follow them because they are suspected of money launderin. G The trouble starts when the couple split up and Nora disembarks to follow the woman Unfortunately it is a trap and a worldwide terrorist on the island waiting for her Not the lan at all The Chase Begins And It Is Truly chase begins it is truly thriller as described The characters are well developed and the settings are wonderful The actual story was good and for a light read it also has some retty heavy arts I would definitely recommend this book to those who enjoy thrillers but not gory heavy kind I do wish I had started with the first in this series I think the history and development of them as a couple would I think the history and development of them as a couple would been fun 275 starsThe Devil and the Deep Blue Spy is a light hearted uick cozy type mystery CIA style It s the fourth book in a series and follows a middle aged happily married couple on their escapades as a spy team The husband Jeff is a rofessional CIA agent and the wife Nora is a former actor and high school acting teacher who has haphazardly found her way into spy work by assisting her husband on occasional assignments In this Sticky Church particular episode the couple is given the opportunity to take a Caribbean cruise in hopes of observing and assessing aarticular Frenchman and his wife who have Forbidden Love Unchained peaked the interest of the government agency Along the way Nora finds herself separated from her husband and confronted by an international terrorist appropriately named Diablo Nora is on her own with only her wiles to outsmart the devil himself while herartner is on the cruise ship in the deep blue sea This story is a bit silly and unrealistic but also fast Witches of the Deep South paced It does have charming characters and lush descriptions of the environment but sadly in my case it just wasn t enough and couldn t keep my attention For others it may very wellrovide an easy crime story for those who enjoy the thrill but Metro 2033 (Universo Metro) prefer their mysteries less graphic and dark but for me I found it less engaging than I d like. Ican agent has already vanished from the area and Nora soon learns why A shadowy international terrorist known only as Diablo has come to the islands for a sinisterurpose With Jeff out of contact Nora investigates on her own But Diablo is waiting for her and now Nora Baron is trapped between the Devil and the deep blue sea.
